SW Florida Regional Ambient Monitoring Program
The Southwest Florida Regional Ambient Monitoring Program (RAMP) is a group of professionals from around the region involved in water quality sampling and analysis of surface waters. The objectives of the group are to produce accurate and compatible water quality data among the groups monitoring water quality in southwest Florida and to reduce redundancy in sampling sites. The program occasionally creates subcommittees to work on emerging issues. The meetings usually consist of speakers on topics relevant to the group and members split samples collected from a natural water body to then compare results. The group has established a mission statement and is working on codifying their history, member SOPs, lessons learned, and future recommendations.
