The Intermediate Aquifer System Technical Advisory Committee is a group composed of the Southwest Florida Water Management District, Sarasota County Health Department, the City of North Port, the Englewood Water District, the City of Sarasota, the City of Venice, Sarasota County Water Resources, and private interests. The group meets on a quarterly basis to develop and discuss special projects related to the Intermediate Aquifer System (IAS), to discuss current operations and new developments as they relate to the IAS, and to develop an aquifer management plan.
