County planners seek input on major community issues Using input received through public workshops, e-mails and letters, Sarasota County staff members have developed a draft of the major community issues for the Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) on the comprehensive plan. The draft of those issues is available on the county's website and county planners are seeking further input and feedback from people.

To provide comments on the major issues, e-mail ear@scgov.net by Friday, Aug. 6.

County staff will then provide the major issues to the Sarasota County Planning Commission for their review and recommendations, which will be forwarded to the Sarasota County Commission. The county commissioners will consider the major issues and make the final determination.
