Portion of Central Sarasota Parkway closes to replace sewer main

SARASOTA – Sarasota County Utilities staff will close a portion of Central Sarasota Parkway beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, July 8, to replace a failing 18-inch sewer main. To repair the main, Utilities staff will close the road across all lanes of Central Sarasota Parkway at Stoneybrook Boulevard, near the entrance of Stoneybrook Golf and Country Club. Repairs are expected to take no longer than two weeks. Traffic message boards will be placed on the corner of Honore Avenue and McIntosh Road at Central Sarasota Parkway to alert motorists of the road closure. Access to all local residences will be maintained.
