Sarasota County seeks Senior Environmental Specialist

Sarasota County is currently accepting applications for a Senior Environmental Scientist with experience in water quality.

Senior Environmental Scientist (Official Job Title: Environmental Specialist III): Coordinates water quality sampling programs, including working with contractors, quality assurance, and conducting field work. Manages data using in-house Access database, Water Atlas and STORET. Uses statistics software to analyze data in support of management decisions. Models pollutant loading and manages the in-house model. Works with Geographic Information System (GIS) data. Tracks impaired waters, TMDL, and water quality regulations and conducts in-depth analysis of proposals. Conducts studies as needed. Supports Stormwater Operations and Planning. Supports NPDES MS4 monitoring and reporting. Represents the County at scientific forums.
