Still time to register for the Cocoplum Paddle-a-thon

Do you kayak or canoe for recreation? North Port Parks & Recreation has the perfect event for you. Join them at 8 a.m., Saturday, March 4th and/or Sunday, March 5th at Dallas White Park along the Cocoplum waterway for the Cocoplum Paddle-a-thon.

A fun race for first time racers and elite athletes alike. This event also features the USCA National Championships for aluminum canoes, touring kayaks (not more than 20’ in length and at least 18” wide at the 4” waterline beam) & downriver kayaks.

Public races are open to all canoes, kayaks and SUPs. A 20K flatwater marathon will be held on Saturday and a 10K race on Sunday. An on-site athlete welcome breakfast will be hosted each day. Pre-registration is required for both public and USCA races. Make sure to register in advance at paddleguru.com/races/CocoplumPaddleAThon. All proceeds to benefit North Port Youth Summer Camp. This event will be sure to make a splash for participants of all skill levels!
