Sarasota Bay Watch launches CLAMpaign for Clean Water

The Sarastota Bay Watch is seeking donations toward placing 1 million more Southern Hard Shell clams into the Sarasota Bay as part of their CLAMpaign for Clear Water. Clams are filter feeders, each one clearing up to 6 gallons of water a day. It is the hope that placing these clams into the bay will restore their natural populations while reducing nuissance algae. To get the clams and place them in the bay, $100,000 in donations is needed. In order to read more or donate to the program click on the link provided.
